Event Dates & Context
London Fashion Week will be held from Thursday, 18 September to Monday, 22 September 2025. The five-day event is expected to set the tone for the Spring/Summer 2026 season, blending tradition with fresh energy.
Refreshing the Runway: New Leadership & Vision
This edition marks the first season under the leadership of Laura Weir, the new CEO of the British Fashion Council. She has introduced major changes aimed at making the week more inclusive and accessible. Designers will no longer be required to pay participation fees, the Newgen programme has secured funding for an additional three years, and international press outreach has been strengthened. Weir also emphasizes mentoring, creativity, and regional inclusivity as the guiding principles for the future of the event.
Designers and Show Highlights
The programme features both established fashion houses and rising talents. Burberry is expected to close the week with a high-profile show on the final evening. Among the other confirmed names are Roksanda, Erdem, and Simone Rocha, alongside new voices such as Chopova Lowena, Aaron Esh, Johanna Parv, Talia Byre, and Ahluwalia. The new cohort from Lulu Kennedy’s Fashion East will also present collections, showcasing the next generation of British design.
Sustainability in the Spotlight: eBay’s “Endless Runway”
A key theme this season is sustainability. On 18 September, eBay will present its “Endless Runway,” a show dedicated to pre-loved and archival fashion. Designers such as Erdem, celebrating its 20th anniversary, and Ahluwalia will present looks created from previous collections, highlighting the importance of circular fashion. All showcased pieces will be made available for online purchase, underlining the growing role of second-hand fashion in the luxury industry.
Royal Debut on the Catwalk
Adding an extra layer of glamour, Lady Amelia Windsor, a cousin of Prince William and Prince Harry, will make her catwalk debut on 19 September. She will walk for the Turkish luxury label Barrus, joined by Lady Victoria Hervey and Juliet Mayhew from “Real Housewives of London.” Barrus’s Spring/Summer 2026 collection is inspired by the spiritual energy of Istanbul and features innovations such as aromatherapy-infused scarves and nanotechnology fabrics.
